Correction to Yuba River Relicensing: Big Numbers, Big Project Article

Please see the editorial correction to the article that was written by the Appeal Democrat Thursday, April 14, 2016 on the Relicensing Process.

In Thursday’s article “Yuba River relicensing: Big numbers, big project the statement” a statement was attributed to Curt Aikens, YCWA’s General Manager. That sentence said, “Like Aikens, Reedy said he didn’t think the increased flows in the river would impact the supply of water for agriculture.” Mr. Aikens did not say that increased flow requirements below Englebright Dam would not impact water supplies for irrigation. In fact, Aikens noted that the subject of increased flow requirements is a major issue in the relicensing process, and any higher flow requirements would impact agricultural water supplies.
